Weekly Activities

  • Sun­day lec­tures at 11 a.m.
  • Wednes­day evening scrip­ture and med­i­ta­tion class. The cur­rent text is the Vivekacu­d­amani. 8–8:50, read­ing and dis­cus­sion; 8:50–9, med­i­ta­tion.
  • Fri­day evening scrip­ture class, 8–9 pm. Texts, by turn, are the Gospel of Sri Rama­kri­shna, the Bha­gavad Gita, and Life of the Holy Moth­er.
  • Kar­ma Yoga on Sat­ur­day morn­ings, from 9 to 1.


  • The shrine room in the new tem­ple will be open for morn­ing med­i­ta­tion at 5 am and dai­ly Puja at 7:45 am, and will remain open through­out the day until the close of evening med­i­ta­tion at 8 pm. Evening arati begins at 6:30 pm. Devo­tees may enter through the dou­ble doors at the main entrance to the tem­ple. All are wel­come.
  • Sat­ur­day & Sun­day also from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (see Kar­ma Yoga).
  • Sun­day lec­tures at 11 a.m.
  • Closed on Mon­day.

Evening Worship or Arati

  • Dai­ly 6:30 p.m., fol­lowed by silent med­i­ta­tion.


  • Ram Nam, singing the names of Sri Rama, on (usu­al­ly) the first Sat­ur­day night of the month. 7:30 pm. Fol­lowed by pot-luck sup­per.


  • Sat­sang every night at 8 o’clock, when senior monks are vis­it­ing the cen­ter.


  • New Year’s Day: Kalpataru Day cel­e­bra­tion, the day on which Sri Rama­kri­shna blessed his dis­ci­ples with illu­mi­na­tion.
  • Birth­day of Swa­mi Vivek­a­nanda

Pri­vate meet­ings with a res­i­dent swa­mi or one of the vis­it­ing swamis may be sched­uled either by phone or in per­son.

Social Service

Some cen­ter mem­bers par­tic­i­pate in social ser­vice, or seva activ­i­ties, with Shepherd’s Table and Meals on Wheels. Please con­tact the cen­ter for more infor­ma­tion.

Annual Retreat

The cen­ter con­ducts an annu­al retreat over the Labor Day Week­end every year.
