  • Swami Yogatmananda

    Born in India in 1953 Swami Yogatmananda joined Ramakrishna Order in 1976. He received his monastic vows in 1986. After serving at Ramakrishna Math at Nagpur (Maharashtra state, India) for 20 years, he was posted as the Head of Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong, (Meghalaya state, India). He came to United States in the summer of 2001 as the Minister of the Vedanta Society of Providence.

    Swami Yogatmananda’s present responsibilities include conducting Sunday service, weekly study classes and organizing spiritual retreats. He is invited to preach Vedanta at different places in the United States. He also serves as the Hindu Religious Affiliate at the Brown University, Providence, RI and the Hindu Chaplain at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, MA.

  • Subhadra Desai

    Dr. Subhadra Desai, a contemplative artist of Hindustani Vocal Music, is known for her unique style characterized by a graceful voice and meditative timbre. Her performances at various national and international music festivals; including Pt. Vishnu Digambar Jayanti, HCL Concert Series, and Teen Murti House in New Delhi, have captivated audiences with her distinct musical expression. Her international performances in Korea and Germany, which have also garnered acclaim, serve as a testament to her global recognition.

    Subhadra's musical journey commenced at a young age under the tutelage of Pt. Vinay Chandra Maudgalya and 5mt. Padma Devi at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi. Their mentorship laid the groundwork for her musical excellence as a disciple of Pt. Madhup Mudgal, Subhadra continues to be guided by him, fostering a deep connection to her musical roots and a commitment to artistic excellence.

    Subhadra was the first recipient of the "Mani- Mann Fellowship" in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music, instituted under Sanskriti Pratishthan, New Delhi, in 2005. Subhadra has undertaken residency programs with senior Gurus/ Musicians such as Vidushi Malini Rajurkar and Pandit Dinkar Kaikini as part of the fellowship. Subhadra received the Sahitya Kala Parishad Scholarship for young artists in 1990. She received a Gold Medal for outstanding achievement at the Korea Spring Festival 1999. Subhadra is an impaneled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Al India Radio, and Doordarshan. Includes Khayal, Sagun Nirgun bhajans, and Tappa.

  • Samir Chatterjee

    Samir Chatterjee is a virtuoso Tabla player from India. He travels worldwide throughout the year, performing in numerous festivals as a soloist or with other outstanding musicians from Indian and non-Indian musical traditions. Samir performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, Norway 2007. He also performed a few times at the United Nations General Assembly, His compositions and writings are widely acclaimed. Samir firmly believes in music's transforming effect on society; all aspects of his work reflect this conviction.

    Chatterjee began his studies early with Pandit Bankim Ghosh, Pt. Balaram Mukherjee, Pt. Rathin Dhar and Mohemmad Salim. His later formation as a musician occurred under the guidance of Pt. Amalesh Chatterjee (since 1966) and Pt. Shyamal Bose (since 1984). Samir's teachers have been from the Farrukhabad Gharana (school) of Tabla-playing, which he now represents.

  • Mallar Goswami

    Mallar Goswami is a national scholar of CCRT and a senior disciple of Pt. Gobindo Bose. He has an M.A. degree in music from Rabindra Bharati University. He has worked as a percussionist on several audio albums, web series, and films. He is currently working on Doordarshan and many private TV shows.

  • Pradeep Sathe

    Harmonium
